High Achiever: Xiao Danling
Country of Origin: Guang Dong Province, China
Graphic Design major, Xiao Danling, speaks highly of
her experience as a student at Raffles College. Danling
originally did Accounting, a career direction encouraged
by her parents, but her early interest in drawing as a
young girl in China fostered her love for this art as a
young adult. Danling has been particularly influenced
by Japanese artist Nara Yoshitomo.
“The opportunity to study graphic design at Raffles
College has allowed me to pursue a career that I am
truly passionate about. The degree’s flexibility allows
me to choose subjects that suit my interests and it is
providing all of us with a sound background in the
business side of the graphic design industry too.”

High Achiever: David Irawan
Country of Origin: Jakarta, Indonesia
David Irawan graduated from Raffles College with a
Bachelor of Design majoring in Interior Design. He
heard about the school through an agent in Indonesia
where he had already graduated with a degree in
Graphic Design. David decided to further his studies
with a course in Interior Design in response to the
greater job opportunities that exist in Indonesia’s local
Interior Design industry. Through his studies at Raffles
College David is discovered more about where his
creative competence lies and what he's really capable of. |

High Achiever: Fil Francis Aquino
Country of Origin: Manila, Philippines
Fil is enrolled in the Advanced Diploma of Multimedia.
“What I like most about studying at Raffles College is
the friendly study environment and small class sizes. It
makes it easier for me to study and concentrate.”
One of Fil’s study highlights is being elected by his peers
as the Vice President (for international students) of the
Student Representative Council.

High Achiever: Hui-Yu (Rose) Lin
Country of Origin: Taipei, Taiwan
Rose embarked on furthering her career options in
design by enrolling into the Master of Design majoring
in Digital Media.
“Raffles College was highly recommended to me by
friends. I am satisfied with the quality of teaching and
level of support provided to the students. My lecturers
helped me a lot with my final project.”
