Raffles College of Higher Education, Singapore Graduation December 2012: Unveil

The graduation ceremony and exhibition was held at Fairmont Hotel
Perhaps the best pre-Christmas present that graduates gave to themselves on 13th December 2012 was a sense of relief. Their hard work is finally over and done with. And the time to think about their next move would be at least a couple of weeks away. Rest and relaxation is of top priority – but not before a glamorous graduation ceremony!
The theme of this year’s graduation is “unveil”. Project manager of the winning team, Tanvi, a Visual Communications graduate, describes the theme as: “Layers upon layers, we unveil like a flower, revealing and opening to higher perfection in a state of beauty, freshness and vigour.”
“It is the time once again, to celebrate imagination, cause sensations and generate new philosophies and possibilities. The stage is set for the transformation to occur and for careers to develop, through original ideas that have been honed throughout the years of studies. I am especially privileged to ‘unveil’ a new generation of graduates and their achievements,” said Mr Giuseppe (Joe) Spinelli, Principal of Raffles College of Higher Education, Singapore.
This year’s graduating cohort, comprised of more than 400 students who had their works put up on display. Approximately 2,000 guests attended this notable event. Friends, family, renowned designers, key industry figures, and foreign delegates were present to witness the graduation ceremony. Along with ambassadors of Japan and Mongolia, delegates from the Italian Chamber of Commerce also graced the event. The honoured judges for the works of our Fashion Marketing graduates were: Catherine Yam of Les Affaires, Jimmy Lim of FJ Benjamin Lifestyle, Jimmy Wong of IAXIL and LIFT12 Ventures’ Arka Dhar.
