If you’re seeking inspiration or want to soak in some local art culture, Sydney has a vibrant alternative design scene with art galleries, fashion shows and theatres for plays, concerts and musicals There will be plenty of accommodation options for you, ranging from family homestays, living alone in a rented apartment or house, or splitting the rent and future household responsibilities with friends. Finding a place to live in won’t be an easy process, so be realistic and give yourself ample time for preparations. On average, be prepared to spend between AUD $150-220 for hostel accommodation, AUD $210-250 for homestays and AUD $200-400 per week for an apartment or house, usually shared.
