| What are the lecturers of Raffles Education like? |
Our team of lecturers comprises of professionally trained experts in the design industries from all over the world - USA, England, Australia, France, Canada, Singapore and the Asian region. They bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience gained from their own countries. All have undergraduate or post-graduate qualifications and years of professional experience with them. |
| What qualifications can I get from Raffles? |
After a three-year intensive program, you will graduate with a government accredited Bachelor's Degree awarded by our partner college Raffles College of Design and Commerce, Australia. As a bonus for completing two years of your studies, you will be awarded with an Advanced Diploma. |
| Are Raffles programs accredited with the relevant authorities? |

Yes, all Raffles programs are properly accredited and approved by the respective education ministries. Raffles has achieved the Singapore Quality Class Award for Private Education and the CaseTrust for Education Award for Private Education. We ensure education of the highest quality by registering and accrediting all our courses with appropriate organizations. These awards certify that Raffles complies with industry standards and possess the foundation for excellent student welfare and business practices. |
| What are the entry requirements to study at Raffles? |
You will require a minimum of 3 'O' level credits, 5 'N' level credits, or a minimum of year 10 for students from international schools. If you wish to study design or merchandising, you will need a Senior High School equivalent (Malaysia -SPM, Indonesia -SMU, Myanmar - Standard 10, China -Senior High School). To be eligible for business courses, the minimum requirement is a 12-year education. |
| What if I don't meet the minimum entry requirements? |
We have provisions for special entry. Each application will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Considerations include the standard of your portfolio, references and relevant work experience. |
| Are there any English requirements? |
All courses at Raffles are conducted in English, so, you will need a basic command of the English language. Students who have met any of following requirements will be exempted from taking English as a Second Language (ESL) concurrently with their studies. Minimum requirements for exemption from ESL programmes:
* To be taken in the last two years. Students from non-English speaking backgrounds who have not met the requirements are required to sit for an English test conducted by the school on their general English proficiency. If necessary, students are required to take the ESL program conducted in our school. It’s an intensive course carried out within 3 months per level and can be taken concurrently with their course of study |
| Can I gain entry if I fail my English? |
Yes, you can, if you meet our minimum entry criteria. However, you will have to take our English placement test to determine your English proficiency. You may be required to take English lessons before or during your Bachelor Degree program. Do note that Master Degree applicants must score results of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. |
| How much does it cost to study at Raffles? |

| Does Raffles Education provide accommodation for international students? |
Most campuses do not provide boarding facilities. However, we can assist and recommend the most convenient boarding options at affordable rates. |
| Does Raffles Education offer internships with business organizations? |
Yes, our programs include placing students in relevant companies where they are given the opportunity to gain hands-on work experience, enhance their portfolios and résumés. During your work attachment, you can establish good ties with your company and very often, receive job offers upon graduation. |
| What are the documents required for application to study in Raffles? |

| Are there any part-time programs for Bachelor Degrees or Advanced Diplomas? |
All our programs are carried out on a full-time basis. |
| How many intakes does Raffles have a year? |
We have 4 intakes within each academic year – January, April, July and October for most of our partner colleges. The campuses in Australia and New Zealand have intakes in February, April, July and October. Our Master of Design program in Singapore has 2 intakes a year: January and July. |
| Can I apply for credit exemptions for subjects I have completed in other colleges/universities? |
Yes, you will have to apply for recognition of prior learning. You will have to submit all necessary module descriptions, course outlines, transcripts, portfolio etc. Please contact our education consultants who will guide you through the application procedure. |
| Can I apply using SAT qualifications? |
SAT qualifications will be considered on a case by case basis. We will evaluate each application by merit. |
| What type of job can I get after I finish my course? |
This depends on the course you take, and to a large extent, your drive, determination and talent. Design is a broad industry and there are many types of jobs available. Most graduates look for entry-level positions where they can learn on the job and explore their areas of interest. |
