9th Annual Seoul Beautiful Furniture Design Competition

78 Interior Design students from Raffles Design Institute participated in the 9th Annual Seoul Beautiful Furniture Design Competition, organized by the Seoul etropolitan Government. The "Sustainable Design" theme, unlike any others, focused on fine design with a good environmental cause. Under Raffles Design ecturers, ShinJung Hoon and Elena Korbout, 2nd year student Kankariya Gaurav Kiran took home the Bronze Award with his design titled Morphemes.

Crowbar Awards 2009

Our students from Visual Communication once again won awards at the Crowbar Awards 2009. Metta Setiandi, Peter Ho, Chen Po-ju, Gery Chandra bagged 1 Gold Crowbar, 2 Silver and 1 Bronze at the Crowbar Awards 2009. The award ceremony was held at Shangir-La Hotel on 28 August 09 with an exhibition of all finalists' works.

Triumph Singapore Award 2009

Be the Designer of Your Own Future! Our students from Raffles Design Institute Singapore, Ada Yeong, was interviewed by Channel News Asia. In her interview, she shared what has been in place for her after her graduation in June 2009 and demonstrated confidence in meeting future challenges. Beating 45 other contestants nationwide Ada's winning design, inspired by "Marchesa Luisa Casati", won her the National Champion title in the Triumph Inspiration Award 2009. She will be representing Singapore in Milan to compete with the others 28 Finalist for the International Competition on 23 September 2009.

Raffles Singapore - June 2009 Graduation Exhibition & Fashion Show

Raffles Design Institute (Singapore) celebrated the graduation of the June 2009 with its theme, CONNECTION. From Interactive Media to Visual Communication, ashion to Jewellery, and Interior to Product Design, Raffles Graduates form relationships through communication and exchange of options and ideas, stablishing connections, but connected as one. This was what three Graphic Design students, Gery Setyadi Chandra, Oh Kay Yuen Peter, and Rita Chen Po Ju would like to convey in their graduation concept, CONNECTION.
