In addition to the normal lectures in class, our students from the School of Interior Design also get the prospect of learning more about hotel design from one of the world's leading design consultancy firms, Design Worldwide Partnership (DWP) Architects. DWP has designed some of the world's best hotels, clubs and restaurants in Asia, India and the United Arab Emirates, clinching numerous awards along the way with their groundbreaking and innovative designs. |

"Iconolast" - Don't Sleep In These!

25 Fashion Design students from Raffles Design Institute proved that you can be runway-ready in nothing more than bed sheets and imaginative accessories!
For the second year running, the department teamed up with Robinsons at Centrepoint Shopping Centre to transform bed linen into show-stopping outfits. Last year we had "From Bedroom to Runway" Students drew inspirations from generations of stylish women who defined fashion at their time, and create garments that epitomized the respective styles. In just over a week, they were ready for the fashion show on Mar. 29, held in conjunction with Robinson's "Fling with Spring" event.

An Interview with Raffles Lecturer, Shin Jung Hoon

Our lecturer from Interior Design Department, Mr Shin Jung Hoon, is being interviewed by the Korean Association in Singapore and is featured in their newsletter. He is a professional Interior Designer who hails all the way from New York to teach in Raffles Design Institute.

Winning Streak Continues at Animania 2009

For the second consecutive year, our students from Raffles - Interactive Media Design won awards in Animania. This year, alumni Nguyen Doan Bao Toan, Toni (Champion) and Rajat Sharma (1st Runner-Up) picked up more trophies at Animania 2009, an annual animation competition organised by CreativeBITS.

Animania 2008
In Animania 2008, Rajat and Toni took home the top two awards for their animation, and have undoubtedly sealed their status as the ones to beat. Both students created videos that dealt with themes of sustainability in the environment as they felt that it was an important message to spread.

Simply 'Pearl' - fect

Raffles - Our student from Jewellery Design Department once again make it to the Pearl Essence International Pearl Jewellery Design Competition.
This competition attracted over 600 designs, from countries such as Australia, China, Japan, Lebanon, Sri Lanka and Turkey. After months of grueling judging of over 600 different designs, Raffles Design Institute Jewellery Design student, Feng Feng (Helen), emerged as one of the ten short-listed finalists who is now one step closer to winning the coveted first prize for a month-long internship with top international jewellery brand Stephen Webster in London.
