Getting a job is what all students looked forward to after graduation. When Do Van Anh Thu graduated from Raffles EducationCorp College, she applied for an entry level job at Lufthansa Germany Airlines. And she got more than what she asked for - A Management Trainee position posted to Frankfurt, Germany!
Do Van Anh Thu, a marketing major graduate from Raffles, will look forward in the next couple of years learning the ropes of the daily operations of the various departments and business units before she fulfills the role as a Junior Manager of the department of her choice. She will embark her career as a management trainee in Lufthansa Vietnam for two months spending eight hours daily at the office learning about the daily operation as well as getting involved in advertising campaign and customer service support. She will also be given the important job of translating Lufthansa's new website into the Vietnamese language.
Getting the job wasn't as effortless as Do Van thought. She was put through three rounds of selection assessments which include personal interview with the Management of Lufthansa in Vietnam as well as three sessions of logic mathematics, group work and personal interview in Singapore. She prepared herself by reading up intensively about Lufthansa,a and the training she received at Raffles College aid her when it comes to the interview sessions. She has her lecturers in Raffles College to thank for as she strongly believed that her success came from her good knowledge achieved through years with Raffles College. She is the only Vietnamese selected for the management trainee position.
